The Australian School Libraries Research Project

Scope of data collection

To develop and implement a survey which would capture the widest possible demographic and cover all schools in Australia, the most effective method of collection is via an electronic survey.

This data collection includes the following areas

  • number of resources and collection development;
  • budget allocations
  • staffing profiles; and
  • staffing qualifications.

This survey has been constructed to ensure that confidentiality of individual schools and personnel is maintained.
